The Department of Pediatrics of the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College, as the earliest discipline and department established by North Sichuan Medical College and the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College, is a provincial critical neonatal treatment center, a standardized training base for residents in Sichuan Province, a training base for pediatric specialist nurses, a training point for master's degree students in pediatrics, and an affiliated unit of Nanchong Pediatric Quality Control Center.
Our department is an excellent , exquisite, and the most powerful pediatric professional team in northeast Sichuan,with a total of 54 physicians, including 6 doctors , 36 masters, 15 senior titles, 9 intermediate titles, and 7 master's supervisors. At present, there are 7 vice chairmen of provincial societies (including vice chairman of the pediatric rheumatology and immunology group of Sichuan Medical Association, vice chairman of the pediatric intensive care group of Sichuan Medical Doctor Association, vice chairman of the pediatric branch of Sichuan Maternal and Child Health Care Association, vice chairman of the pediatric branch of Sichuan Medical Promotion Association, deputy director of the neonatology group of Sichuan Maternal and Child Health Association, vice chairman of the pediatric vascular group of Sichuan Maternal and Child Health Association, and vice chairman of the pediatric respiratory group of Sichuan Nursing Association).
Our department is a provincial-level critical neonatal treatment center, responsible for the treatment of critically ill neonates in northeast Sichuan, covering five areas (Nanchong, Bazhong, Suining, Guang'an and Dazhou). The department has pediatric leukemia treatment center, hemophilia multidisciplinary management center, and mitochondrial disease diagnosis and treatment center. At present, subspecialty covers neonatal, respiratory, cardiovascular, critical, neurological, kidney, blood, infection and digestion, immunity, endocrine, child health care, child rehabilitation, and child psychological and behavioral development.
Our department has carried out a number of professional leading businesses, such as neonatal umbilical vascular catheterization, LISA technology, ambulatory brain function monitoring, inhalation NO therapy, pediatric electronic fiber bronchoscopy detection and foreign body removal, pediatric congenital heart disease interventional diagnosis and treatment, pediatric multiple pulmonary function testing, children's video electroencephalography, children's 18-lead ECG, children's hemodynamic monitoring, children's hemolavage, children's hyperbaric oxygen therapy, PICC technology, children's health care assessment such as Alberta Infant Exercise Scale, 20 neuromotor tests for 0-1 year old, ASD behavior assessment, pediatric gross motor assessment (GMFM), fine motor ability assessment (FMFM), M-CHA modified infant autism screening, childhood autism assessment, social response assessment, Denver development screening, Gesell infant development assessment, PEABODY motor development scale assessment, vision and hearing screening,which have made us a benchmark for pediatric technology in northern Sichuan.
Our department has completed dozens of national, provincial and municipal scientific research projects at all levels, including 3 national projects and 5 municipal and departmental projects. The research direction includes not only cutting-edge scientific content such as stem cells, gene polymorphisms and gene expression, but also basic research on common clinical diseases such as neonatal brain injury, heart failure, pneumonia, asthma, Kawasaki disease, child nutrition, cerebral palsy rehabilitation and has completed the publication of multiple papers in English and Chinese core journals.
